@nprofile1q... Yeah, just grousing, apologies for making a bigger deal of it than it is. I should have expected it with the desktop env change, but it sill would have been nice for Cosmic to have at least attempted to pull in Gnome settings on the OS update, or at least allow us to continue to have the option of Gnome. I understand the burden that that adds to support, though, and I'm seeing your comments on GH and elsewhere about why that's unfeasible from a development perspective as well.
It's annoying to have to re-learn muscle memory, that's all. The tapping of the mouse against the top left of the screen to open workspaces is a huge one for me. I don't envy you UI devs who get this level of complaining every time you push and update that changes a user's muscle memory.
I will say, it looked like the Cosmic Shop didn't have its repos updated on first boot, so no packages initially showed up at all. I manually ran an apt update and saw the Signal Flatpak as you noted, but by that point, I had already installed Signal's repo. I have also experienced issues with Spotify's Flatpak breaking as well on 22.04.
