Moral dilemma for me here.

As a rule, I'm against the initiation of force which basically underpins all legislation.

However...

I'm also aware of the psychological manipulation that went in to convincing people that smoking was a good thing. It was a cleverly laid multigenerational trap and the people behind it weren't good people.

So I find myself in the unusual position of supporting the state on something.

My brain hurts.

Nah stick to your rules 😁 How will they enforce it, start asking for ID from anyone reasonably suspected to have tobacco in some form?

Telling people what to do is wrong. Telling people what not to do to me is right. I wouldn't object to enforcement of bans of smoke or vapor in public spaces such that it's so incredibly inconvenient to bother to do it.

Errr in the article I read the government specifically said it was because they were losing too much tax revenue to people dying… implying that this is just a move to keep the tax cattle alive longer…
