Seems like at the very least, it would be beneficial for clients to add a feature where you can request to only see + get notifications for replies to your posts if you follow that person making the reply.

This would make it so that people don’t have to see harassing/spammy/garbage replies to their posts from random people, and avoid experiences like @nostrich had yesterday

We need more web of trust based filtering and sharing of blocklists (which already works in some clients)

I’m pretty sure Iris already limits you to people you follow and people they follow. On SSB we call this “two hops”. I agree a one-hop filter is a good idea too.

Definitely considering an *option* to limit to people you've interacted with and degrees of separation. Friends-only mode
