marriage / relationships is a proof of work you have to put in - it never stops Equally, if it doesn’t work out there’s no failure in realising that.🫂

Agreed. My children’s father is absolutely one of the best men I’ve ever known.

Years ago someone I hadn’t seen for awhile came to my office & kept asking how he was etc … finally had to say I wasn’t sure about one of the things. He replied: but you’re married to him.

I laughed & explained we divorced years before that.

Never forgot how he stopped talking & his face went blank. Then he said: I’m sorry, I didn’t know. Never heard either of you speak bad about the other so I had no idea you divorced.

I said something along the line of: He’s the father of my children. It’s great to hear he’s never spoken bad of me. I see no reason to speak bad of him.

Hopefully this comes out as educational & not preaching or arrogant. Cause trust me: my ex and I had our personal issues but we kept it out of our workplaces (almost completely aside from immediate supervision for obvious reasons) & always away from our children.

Our grown children are incredible & turned out way better than any of us could have hoped.

I loved and lost women in my past for various reasons, they were along my journey for a while, but not the whole way. Genuinely not looking for variety or unpredictability anymore. I want this to be it, but will find my way if it isn’t✨ Thank you for sharing 🙏
