corporate adoption of bitcoin is inevitable

but what was not inevitable is the complete disregard most of these corporates have for the fundamentals

there was an alternate path where they supported bitcoin’s use as freedom money, self custody, nodes, open source, the whole nine yards, a beautiful flywheel of support

but saylor lead by (bad) example, and the status quo instead has become constant fud of sovereign bitcoin usage to pump their stocks

That's the basic idea. Most people overlook the information about the actual benefits because it gets buried under all the talk about assets and trading.

Get people to ask the wrong questions, and you won't have to worry about the answers anymore.

Why is corporate adoption inevitable? I would sure love to see it but it only takes a single law or regulation to nip that in the bud.

Saylor and team tried to jam a half-assed lightning widget for email into the MS 365 ecosystem for hot second somewhere in 2022-2023 and failed. The Larry Fink’s of the world just got off a private jet from Davos, abandoned ESG and did an about face on rat poison. That’s about as freedom tech...

They were always going to follow their incentives and not an alternative path. Our incentive is to do something different before it becomes impossible

Yes. It’s so sad and gross. We need smb and mass individual adoption. We need to make it easy for the masses.

Just spend you bitcoin and replace it. Spend use and transfer it. That creates new hodlers anyway!!! The eco system needs to be built by holders of Bitcoin, not ETF’s or treasury companies.

The more sailor sells into the open market, the bigger the pool of individual holders of bitcoin becomes. The idea of one person holding a vast majority of bitcoin serves no purpose that’s called centralization .

people only learn once they get rekt, and hopefully the Saylor "business model" cannot last forever. We just need to wait.

Most people see bitcoin as an investment within the current debt based system, not as an infrastructure outside of that system

Bitcoin is freedom money but we need tools for bitcoin privacy. Non-KYC is the way of course. If you have KYC Bitcoin, use Lightning and Liquid to swap. Monero Swaps are also good, just swap back to BTC after some time.

Don't forget: developers are the biggest threat to Big Corp Bitcoin!

The alternate path still exists. It just doesn't have a stock ticker.

When Coinbase accidentally burns all bitcoin under management, there will be lessons learned.

It's unrealistic to expect corporations to care about freedom or anything other than profit.

A rich conventional investor/shareholder who suddenly understands Bitcoin will try to get their company to embrace Bitcoin But they'll fail, and therefore they'll sell their shares to buy Bitcoin Therefore, typical companies have shareholders who - due to this selection process - will be ignorant ...

Strange a software company can’t figure out how to self custody. They needed Coinbase……. I would have taught them how to do it for a pittance for the sake of the network………
Toby McMann · 5w
I think this disappointment is a bit naive. No CFO is going to take self custodial risk. Corporations want to be able to sue someone if it goes wrong. They value their jobs, and the corporate mission is not to use shareholder money to advance "freedom tech." Those that want freedom tech and sel...

Corporate adoption is inevitable… but only if it follows Odell’s purity checklist. Otherwise it’s bad. The permissionless Bitcoin preacher everyone clapped for.

Find the folks accepting bitcoin and buy their products and services. Keep a little fiat as a burn pile to buffer your stack, and ignore billionaire’s and their “problems”.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned in the last decade, is that no one on this planet is to be taken literally. Any words spoken in a moment are just that, a moment to be observed and considered in the greater context, all of which are absolutely subject to change. In fact, it seems that this era is...
