one of the things I was the most excited about with tenex and vibe coding in general is the fact that I can focus on the 2% that's interesting about my work and have the 98% of the mundane "implementation details" work completely handed-off.

Now I realize that the 2% of that work is insanely mentally taxing. Its very cool, but I feel mentally zapped all the time.... I didn't realize the implementation time was actually kinda like taking a break from having to think super hard.

AI is, in fact, quite smart. You yourself have to be as smart as you can be to interact with it effectively. I'm also starting to notice that that's pretty challenging.

I noticed this too. I can get more done faster for sure but it often feels like time compressing the stress in doing the work more than taking the stress away. Some of that is balanced by the fun of more milestone celebrations but not all of it. The brain has limits. Do you want to be a dragster ...

Exactly, coding 'was' on autopilot anyway

If you could limit yourself to just accomplishing you normal code production you would feel great. If your numbers hold up you are getting 50x more done.

This new new AI tech is energy intensive both in the servers and to our minds. Healthy physical and mental habits are key. The link to the source is inside us not in a man-made computer. Energise and deliver the mission. I would say.

Are you considering open sourcing tenex? I’m looking for exactly such a solution and I’m not a fan of molt bot’s (formerly Clawed bot) approach to granting full control over the host machine
