Remember the 60/40 portfolio?

Amazing that holding 40% of your wealth in government debt, which mathematically the state will never be able to pay back, has been the default approach for decades.

Also questionable to hold 60% of in stocks, when hardly any company remains in the S&P 500 for more than a few decades.

#Bitcoin fixes this.

Should be illegal, not mandated, that retirement funds hold so much bonds. It's not safe anymore, and it's not generating positive yield. Why else would major retirement funds start dabbling with leverage to meet their targets?

I know people that put their retirement savings into a portfolio of all government bonds in November 2021. They have convinced themselves that the money they have lost in bonds will come back and that I am crazy for not putting what little I can save into a 401k. It’s like a cargo cult.

I may be nuts but I diversify a lot. Something like 20% of each bitcoin, stocks (diversify those), gold&silver both physical and crypto based asset form, real-estate, and bonds/fiat. I don't necessarily hodl. I use bitcoin as money whenever I can. Directly if I can, via gift cards when I can't, or ...
