Why are humans obsessed with “vibe checking“ and “moderation” in online spaces. People are very different across the entire population, if you’re trying to curate vibes on a decentralized network then by definition you are excluding a huge percentage of the world, and are exercising power in an unreasonable way just because you are an engineer on the network. Good for you. Just let humans be humans and provide tools for user groups to curate their own vibes.

There is a human tendency to try to engineer goals instead of focusing on building better systems. It is fear really that is ultimately driving this behavior.
