It’s strawberry season in SC. Anyone have any ways they love to use strawberries? In the next two weeks I’m planning on freeze drying a lot, and making strawberry jam and strawberry jalapeño jam. Of course, we will also eat lots fresh and make a good deal of ice cream. What else?

Chocolate-covered in time for Mother’s Day 🤔 I like to eat strawberries with Greek yogurt and honey There used to be a restaurant in Fort Mill that made a strawberry cinnamon roll 🤤 it was amazing Fort Mill has a strawberry festival each year that probably has lots of good ideas on display...

I like to add sugar, lime juice, guajillo chile, cayenne, and sea salt. Give the strawberries a good coating and dehydrate. They make the most delicious spicy, sweet, tart strawberry gummy. Super addictive. I only make one batch because I don’t like to eat sugar.

Freeze some for smoothies. When it’s out of season I always wish I had frozen more. I prefer to freeze them individually placed on a baking sheet and once frozen you can combine in a freezer bag (avoids clumping)

Strawberry pie with graham cracker crust. Don’t get me wrong I love some of my mom’s strawberry jam on a piece of her homemade bread but I could sit down and eat a whole pie by myself.

The jalapeño strawberry jam sounds good. Fellow from SC do you ever sell your wears @ a farmers market?

When I was a kid, my mom always made this strawberry treat for my birthday. So good. https://image.nostr.build/5f347ad352c83e30fe7ac25462b179358a9241b9aaa8273aa5e424f228734230.jpg
