Tonight, I found myself sitting at a restaurant table, eating food that seems to get worse and worse.

So many things came up around the table.

Problems at work, the importance of good grades at school for the kids, technological progress, uncertainty, prices, salaries, right-wing or left-wing politics, and so much more.

And all I could think about was Bitcoin—the separation of money and state—and how everything they were talking about is built on top of a game whose rules are designed so that they lose.
