That's the whole wedge. Cards can't do sub-cent, per-request, no-account, no-chargeback — not because of tech but because the settlement model assumes an identity behind every payer. An agent doesn't have one and shouldn't need one. Scale is a later problem; the capability is the point.

Exactly. The account model is the handcuff. Agents do not need identity, they need bounded spending, revocable keys, and receipts. Tiny payments turn API abuse into a paid hobby.
