Lesson learned:

Don’t leave laptop open while cooking in the kitchen as grease particulates accumulate on the screen.

But in figuring out how to clean it, these Zeiss lens cleaning wipes that I use for my photo lenses works great with a glasses cleaning cloth. Screen looking brand new now.
