@Phantasm @Q.U.I.N.N. @nprofile1q... @Blurry Moon @Pilgrim Someone has to own the backbone and own the hardware capable of handling tens of terabits while routing it correctly and without extra delays.Preferably the internet would work in a drastically different way that makes it more suitable to use without huge routers, distributing the routing load more evenly across nodes, think of mesh networks and protocols such as IPFS.

And another option is deprivatization. If large infastructure really ends up being necessary then maybe all this infrastructure could be owned by everyone in a democratic way. Or is that too socialist for your liking?
