#GM Nostr Please excuse my absence. Tense days here in Cuba. The blackouts have worsened, even in the capital. More than 24 hours without electricity has become "normal" for Cubans. Along with the power outages, the internet connection has also gone down; it's been terrible these past few days.

There's a lot of fake news circulating on social media, and regarding Starlink, unfortunately, many people believe that simply turning on Wi-Fi will give them some connectivity. What they don't know is that to receive a signal, they need an antenna, and importing Starlink antennas is illegal in Cuba.

I've been accessing Nostr through Keychat to check for any tasks on Aqstr because we might be out of luck, but we can't stop accumulating sats!

Another curious thing I'd like to share: with the power outages, I've been communicating primarily via SMS with friends, and we've been talking about Starlink. I even asked him to check a message I sent him on Telegram. This morning, Telegram notified me of an unsuccessful login attempt. The attacker managed to enter the PIN but not the 2FA I have enabled. The strange thing is that I never received the SMS message with the login code, nor did Telegram send me one.

I don't know where the attack came from, but I do know that it's crucial to continue developing and adopting applications like Bitchat that work offline in hostile environments like Cuba. And of course, being paranoid and securing everything with multiple layers paid off this time.
