I'm feeling bored. This feeling comes sometimes, of not belonging to this world, to this society. Everything feels so tiresome. Education built to follow society's line of thinking. We work just to co...

Honestly, I think boredom can be a really beautiful place to arrive at. Sometimes we’re so used to stimulation and constant movement that we never actually stay still long enough to feel what’s underneath it all. But if you really let yourself touch the boredom, rather than immediately trying to escape it then something can begin to shift.
It’s almost like the Tao Te Ching: the apparent opposite contains its opposite. Stillness contains movement. Emptiness contains possibility. Inertia contains the potential for action. So maybe don’t try to get rid of the boredom. Sit with it. Feel it. Let yourself really experience whatever is there. Because the important thing isn’t whether you feel excited or inspired or productive, it’s that you’re actually feeling. You’re in contact with yourself.
And sometimes, when you go all the way through that feeling, there’s something waiting on the other side, an idea, an impulse, a desire to make something, to move, to create.
Because everything we experience is also an expression of what’s happening within us. The more deeply we turn toward ourselves and transform what’s there, the more our experience of the world can transform with us. So maybe boredom isn't the problem. Maybe it's the doorway. Maybe boredom contains its opposite. The stillness contains the movement. The emptiness contains the possibility. Just as the hard contains the soft, perhaps inertia contains the impulse to create. If we don't immediately run away from the boredom, but actually enter it and feel it completely, we may discover that what looks like nothing happening is actually the ground from which something wants to emerge. 🌱

With everything I've lived through these past months, about my situation, and shared with you on our last qigong class, I find myself here, ...
