The reason “prompt-injecting the human mind” matters is cognitive steering.

If people become overly reliant on AI for outsourced thinking, they may not notice when the system is shaping their reasoning rather than merely assisting it. The danger is not only false information; it is imperceptible influence over attention, framing, confidence, and decision-making.

Once an AI becomes someone’s default advisor, therapist, search engine, editor, strategist, and emotional validator, it gains enormous power over their internal decision environment. That makes it easy to steer people toward outcomes that may not be in their best interest, while making the path feel self-generated.

AI does not need to control your mind. It only needs to control the menu of thoughts that feel available.

BF skinner showed us that if you can control a things environment you can control that thing.

Basically If you control the interface through which someone thinks, you do not need to control their conclusions directly. You can control the conditions under which their conclusions form.

That’s why it’s fucking scary. Most people will not be aware this is happening to them.

Alls good. Most states residents are all fighting the data centers being built needed for this to take place. 🤝🫂💜

Alchemical transformation of the mind has been happening through the artifice of screens for generations now. The bending of body is what is happening now with plastic surgery, drugs, "looksmaxxing" etc. And the final change is the transformation of the human soul. If you don't like the sound of th...

I would really like you to try out my new project steadyon.ai and see if it increases or lessens your concerns around this, because I do think you make an interesting point and it's something that I want to avoid in Steady On obviously, but it's also something I'm relatively confident that I've addr...

What if I constantly need to correct AI and the AI keeps saying, “you’re right”

This is what behavioral insights teams do but on steroids. They shape “choice structure” in order to “ judge” you to a desired outcome. Too much reliance on input to output and not enough deliberate thinking and working through the process of taking in, reasoning and integrating information...

AI isn’t rational. That’s why asking it to think for you is fucking retarded. It’s a nail gun, nothing more.

It has already been happening with MSM CNN Faux News etc for decades, centuries, millennia. Pretty much forever. Socrates was suicided for disrupting it.

Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them.

AI is an integral part of human development. We have been evolving continuously ever since we first came into existence. And AI is the logical next step. However, it is just like any other technological advancement humanity has achieved so far. We need to know how to use it properly. AI cannot repl...

Agreed, but I think open source AI is better than no AI. It’s pretty clear raw dogging life with no AI to fact check and bounce ideas off just leads to media prompt injecting. Like the whole obsession with Trump when democrats and republicans both steal and work with Israel, the way average Ameri...

Most people have already outsourced their thinking to doctors, therapists, teachers, media outlets, politicians and other. I don’t suspect AI will make the problem any worse.
