People mean 2 different things when they refer to their social 'accounts.' 1. Their identity, specifically the credentials, but also the settings of the attached environment. (i.e. retaining their mute list & dark mode.) We can simply refer to this as our "npubs" or the less-geeky "nostr number." ...

"Account" is a catch-all term for a user's identity on a platform. I am personally fine calling it an account - although it's just a keypair. But yet, "account" makes /much/ more sense for many people.
