What’s the best way to connect to Chinese open-source models like GLM 5.2, DeepSeek, or Kimi? Would something like OpenCode be good? I’ve only used Claude Code with Opus, so I’m not really sure. I’m a bit tight on money lately, so I probably need to look for something cheaper.

Yep I use opencode, works very well. Kimi k3 is actually quite expensive so definitely check if deepseek can handle your needs first

I use cursor and opencode. I prefer cursor because I like looking at the code and doing selective rollbacks. Cursor gives generous allocations to grok (very good) and composer (which is cheap and decent if properly instructed). I use GLM 5.3 Flash on opencode which is very good and cheap. What do yo...
