GrapheneOS is the easiest transition. It is nearly seamless for everyone.

Good luck. AI has made using NixOS as a daily driver so much easier.

Nix is great for servers. I got too frustrated running a desktop on it. I need to try Graphene.

It's the year of the Linux Laptop 🤘

Been on Graphene for 3+ years and no regrets after being on apple for decades. There is an adjustment period but tge control you gain over your phone is amazing.

Just switched to Graphene and the first thing I learned was how entrenched Google and Apple are into our lives which was all the reinforcement I need to never to back.

The Graphene switch is quite easy! You don't need to use multiple profiles off the bat if you don't want to. Simply using Graphene while maintaining all your same apps (including Google) is miles better for security and hardening your phone as opposed to non-Graphene. Good luck 🫡

Don't think i'll ever go back to another distribution after trying NixOS. Probably nothing else than Graphene either but things might change there

NixOS is fucking awesome, especially if you set up flakes and use it on multiple computers.

I've been using GrapheneOS for about a year and I mostly love it! Any issues are easy to figure out. I tried NixOS for a bit back when I was distro hopping and I did really like it. Might consider it again one day.

Graphene is android with less hassle so I don't see how it could present much friction. NixOS confused the heck out of me.

if it weren't for nixos i probably would have abandoned the idea of building my own custom desktop environment on linux. but now that i have it perfectly configured and etched into a reproducible config, i have a computing environment built for my needs that never changes. its beautiful.
