Contemplating building my house in a more sustainable, healthy low VOC build situation.

The guy next door to the first house build I generalled poured the basement foundation, the main floor, the first floor exterior walls, the second floor, and the second floor exterior walls all in concrete. That place isn’t going anywhere, but man you’d have to be sure about your window, exterior door, mechanical, stair and plumbing RO’s. The only conventional wood framing were the interior walls, 2 stair sets and the roof system. I bet he doesn’t need AC in the summer. I never got to see how they did the heat runs, cold air returns and the floor penetrations for the electrical and plumbing, and he was still finishing long after I handed my customer his keys. His subs likely had some challenges I’m guessing. But I thought it was pretty hardcore.

I've built with insulated concrete forms a number of times. But I'd like to shy away from the foam portion. Even concrete has its drawbacks. As we know, just got to plan those RO's
