I disagree. From an economic standpoint, competition is the primary mechanism that keeps prices from becoming unaffordable. Labeling healthcare as a human right does not resolve the fundamental issue of scarcity. Resources are limited, and prices are the signals that coordinate their allocation. If providing a treatment required a trillion dollars for a single individual, forcing others to pay for it would be economically unsustainable. There is no level of global purchasing power capable of supporting such claims. Ignoring prices and market signals undermines economic calculation and ultimately reduces access, rather than expanding it.
