@nprofile1q... I don’t think their primary argument is about the lack of friction for a single app. It’s about the inherent friction in the process of making something. Prompting ≠ making.
And aside from the humour in your examples, I think the reduced friction from stone-carving to typing has obviously removed friction, despite those activities not being quite the same thing. Nobody jotted down a shopping list or a supportive note to their child with chisel and slate.
