I am not aware of a Nextcloud phone calendar app? I use DAVx5 to syncronize Cal/CardDAV between linux and android via my NC server, but this is hard to do when I'm in shoddy internet territory.

With a Syncthing/File-based sync I can use any router or even manually copying content between devices.
