You call the names used during the design process "production names", as opposed to "final names" that go into the final font.

In my understanding (and fontmake, and other tools), a "production name" is what goes into the final font, equivalent to what you call a "final name".

Am I misreading the page, or do we fundamentally disagree with what a "production name" is?
