It looks like the transmission on my car is beyond economic repair (according to the small local garage that I have used for years) :(

And, sure, if I had a garage / lift, and more time, I might go pokey pokey to see if I could fix it. But I have neither.

So... I guess I might need to think about replacing it, which is a shame.

I'm going to end up with a surveillance trap on wheels :(
