I overanalyze going into new or unknown situations but then I just end up winging it anyway and it usually works out ok.

That means evolution worked and gave you good genetics. Only prepared people survive bad situations. Better to be prepared rather than hope you're lucky. As long as you keep moving forward you're doing good.
