The Steam Deck's battery is doing really badly. All those discharges either have fucked the battery knowing how much energy it has or it has outright killed it

But thankfully the USB-C adapter I have actually can accept a USB-C charger too, so the battery isn't an issue anymore to use it as a casual Kitchen PC, thank god
