Even if you try to reason with the idea of closed borders, given the huge size of the U.S borders with Mexico and Canada, you would need a strong federal oversight to actually enforce a closed borders policy; And that to me sounds pretty contradictory to the ideas of anti-statism, free market principles, and individualism.

There's really only two kinds of land in this world: Unclaimed land and private property.

Borders are a capitalist invention to stop workers seeking better wages in other countries. They're a recent invention. (Borders over people obviously I understand that nation states had territories before capitalism but the prohibition of migration is a capitalist invention)
