Why does it have to be new? Could have just cost $5 at some point, and they are using it now. Pretty sure most everyone has a wrench on hand at home. And yes, we need a new, fiat inflation number for the price point.

Yes, but it opens you up for the problem. If your encryption is good enough: You are the target. If the State don’t get what the state wants… you will be in jail. No trail needed. This seams to be the case at least in the western nations. I am scared about this shit.
