I did a 10k recovery run yesterday with 4x30-20sec strides.

Looking at my top speed on the strides I went fast, top speed 2:33. New PR since I started doing this a few weeks back.

David and Megan Roche talk about speed a lot which is something I’ve totally forgot about the last few years. And it makes a lot of sense, if you want to run fast in ultras you first have to be very fast. And you get fast by running fast. So I’m going to run fast 💨

I’ve definitely been faster back in the day as a footballer, think my gps tracker had me go as fast as 33km/h during a game (couldn’t find proof now). That’s1:49. Let’s first get to sub 2:00!

With that said I don’t know how accurate these measurements are from my Garmin. Anyway it’s a number to game!

Have a good day! 🧡💜

Cool to read... 😀 Have you tried the Norwegian Protocol? 3 min slow, then 4 min 85-95% max HR, then repeat 4 times. Gold standard training method for increasing VO₂ max. It's been shown to improve VO₂ max in as little as one training per week. A study involved 50-year-old untrained individua...

Had a recovery run yesterday. Had a 2 day break due to my first Hyrox Session after 3 months. 😃 Do you use a specific training plan? https://image.nostr.build/af14503dd705e7026a6228a75ce7a9cd0a0595df10af11edabc58ea639bce861.jpg

Good job! If you wear your COROS arm band to capture your HR then GPS data and cadence from your watch are most likely quite accurate - unless you run close to Russain border or in deep valleys!
