The "Statutory Demand" referred to in the story is a powerful tool. Years ago, after I'd been chasing a bad debt for months, I spoke with a free lawyer at Citizens' Advice. He gave me an SD template, I served it on the company's registered office and within ten days, the debt was magically repaid in full, plus interest.
