I think that's a good place for this quote from Mark Twain: "It's easier to fool people than convince them that they have been fooled." But in German there's a saying "Steter Tropfen höhlt den Stein" which translates to something like constant dripping wears away the stone...

Thanks for this I often find myself going off on different tangents whilst trying to explain the corn to people. The greatest orange pilling I ever did was just showing someone how the corn was still there after deleting and restoring a wallet on a different device. 🌽
