Lots of friends with sore wrists - endemic for coders. I'm not a doctor, but anecdataly lifting heavy things and putting them down again is really good for this. This is very counterintuitive - most recommend rest. But rest is not a long-term solution.

Anything where you put big, static stress on those wrist tendons seems to help. Lift Heavy Things And Put Them Down Again of course. Or I like to row (I used to row on the water, now on a machine). Climbing and bouldering is good too. You want big "hook hands" with slow strong strain.
