There’s some good points in this episode of TSP on the importance of building local networks. We need more people in our lives with varied skills that are able to respond at a moment’s notice if someone in the group needs it. We spend so much of our time working we don’t ever get to build these real life networks or commit to many face to face meetings and team building activities. I’ve been trying but it’s funny how many people I’ve found that I initially hit it off with that just won’t commit to even a coffee without flaking out. We really have to fix this somehow.
