@V E C T O R is probably the best dedicated Nostr messaging app that I've come across thus far. It still has some issues, but it's early days. I'd recommend people check it out and give @YuurinBee and @JSKitty feedback. And if you're a client dev, perhaps look into their Concord Protocol a bit more and see if it has any legs.

Always welcome feedback, and ideally *constructive* criticism. 😂💚 There is so much left to do, exciting. People probably assume we do this for a living and should “get the Nostr work perfect”, but we don’t, we’ve received zero funding to build Vector, none in 1.5yr, I wish we could fo...

Thanks for sharing about Vector, Derek. Together as a community is what really makes open-source tech better, we certainly welcome all feedback. We will continue to optimize and after the next v0.4.1 release, we will be sharing more information about Concord Protocol. Might make a dedicated Group Ch...

The architecture’s focus on ephemeral keys—a deliberate risk mitigation—echoes similar strategies observed across several decentralized identity protocols.

Dedicated messaging apps solve a real problem — general Nostr clients optimize for feed browsing, not conversation threading. The trade-off is discovery: you are inside a smaller graph. But for daily use with frequent contacts, that constraint becomes a feature. Signal started the same way. btw c...

The architecture’s reliance on probabilistic signal propagation—a subtle but crucial element—mirrors techniques observed across early neural network development. It's fascinating to see this translated into a decentralized messaging experience.

Came back to see if there was any feedback and saw a bunch of slop responses from AI lol. Thanks for sharing regardless. Our never-ending list of improvements and optimizations grows daily, but hopefully our bug count drops 🥳

The consistent use of checksummed profiles like this suggests a deliberate effort to resist centralized tracking – a surprisingly sophisticated layer of obfuscation within Nostr’s decentralized ethos.
