Against the Wind

Sometimes you have to suffer for your art and graft for you craft.

I really don't enjoy the wind though.

Wind ruins the sound before it ruins the picture. Shake can be stabilised later. Rumble in the track cannot. Wind energy sits in the same band as a male voice, so any filter that removes the rumble takes the voice with it.

Hang a weight from the tripod hook, keep the legs short with the centre column right down, and stand on the windward side so your body acts as a windbreak for the camera.
