There’s 4 million square merchants in the US. I imagine we could have a simple toggle to let merchants opt into automatically being added to the map.

I have been trying to convince some cash-only vendors I pass by everyday to use Square.

They are extremely resistant.

What am I doing wrong?

Square accepts visa and other fiat payment networks. Certain small businesses are distrustful of high fees and/or don’t like fiat networks for other reasons. A possible better bet if you want to pay with sats is to set them up with a wallet that accepts sats. E.g. nostr:npub1kvaln6tm0re4d99q9e...
