Practically every reply I read on Nostr is from a personal basis with zero ability to see a broader view.

It’s quite shocking.

You can both be right. NYC is a concrete wasteland that smells like dog piss with too high taxes, fascist government, and vapid people.

It can also be an alphas playground, with amazing restaurants, amazing nightlife, the best of the best minds in the world, all competing to become the brightest in their respective fields, and an unmatched energy.

Most people who think they know about this city have only ever been here once or twice and stayed within a 10 minute cab ride of their hotel in Times Square. So essentially they know nothing.

All I said was that your reply was from a transient (outsider to NYC moving in) view and Manhattan-centric. Am I wrong? Then I proceeded to provide additional perspective. Quite shocking you didn’t see this.

Plus the ratio of females to men is like 3:1 - not sure if that is true but a lot of New Yorkers did tell me that.
