I have never heard anybody call Chornobyl an ā€œhonest mistakeā€, but tons of people bring it up *all the time* to attack nuclear power.

In engineering ethics courses, Chornobyl and Bhopal are held up as the two best examples of what happens when incompetence and greed are allowed to take control of heavy industry.
