I REALLY hope Trump doesn't start negotiating with the IRGC replacements. They don't deserve it.
I can understand that nobody wants them to torch the oil fields like Saddam ...
Trump seems willing to talk just for the sake of talking. So even if he says he'll negotiate, it likely won't change anything that already has been decided.
But the present Iranian government is sending mixed messages. Last night they said they'd negotiate, this morning Ali Larijani said they will not negotiate with the U.S.
Interestingly, also this morning, Turkey has halted passenger traffic at its Iranian border. So it may be they're expecting the IRGC to start attempting to escape Iran, and don't want them in their country, where they would no doubt sew chaos and cause trouble.
