The Americans are breaking our gas pipelines with Russia and on top of that they are forcing us to buy their much more expensive gas, which has destroyed the competitiveness of European industry worldwide.

And European politicians are all complacent with the US. At this point, you should understand that all European politicians since the end of World War II have been working for the US.
