When you say accepting them, you mean accepting their lifestyle choices?

The biggest lie that’s been promoted on the topic is that this is “who you are”, “this is your identity”. It’s so insidious. It would be like saying to an alcoholic “this is who you are”, if people don’t accept your alcoholism they don’t accept you.

But It would be the job of the father to handle it with grace and love, but to firm on this position for the sake of his son.

The son also has a roll to play, if he believes the lie above, then he’s almost guaranteed to distance himself from his father.

The damage here is not being caused by the father if he handles it with grace and love.
