I wouldn’t bring the metal plate across borders, especially if you’re traveling by plane. I would either memorize the seed phrase and then re-create it in the new country, or find a more inconspicuous method of moving the seed phrase. IMO, metal plates stay within borders.

Put a passphrase on it. Leave it with someone you trust. Memorize it. Set it up again. Create a new seed. Transfer out. Done.

I would probably obfuscate the seed phrase, say by shifting all the words by a fixed number, subtly mark the new words in a paperback novel and bury the metal plate somewhere as a backup plan.

Write it on a piece of paper and put it in a conceal compartments in fake credit cards. Scouts membership card in your wallet with a fake oath on it that is your words. Things along the lines of the above.
