Does seeing other people fail or being sad makes you happy? All too often I see people proclaim how you should feel better when others fail or destroy themselves, or proclaim that you soon will enjoy other’s sadness. WTF is wrong with you? If someone is sad or suffering, it should never bring any joy to anyone, if you are even a little humane.

Depends on the person, I loved watching this man suffer, he earned it https://relay.utxo.one/f1f769152677e8b7931e2857ed420ae0765305c3cbcd192116572975b9ced2b8.jpg

Schadenfreude is the feeling of pleasure or joy that comes from witnessing the misfortunes of others. The term is derived from German, combining "Schaden" (harm) and "Freude" (joy) to describe this complex emotional experience. It's antisocial IMO

Studies have linked it with low self-esteem due to the perception of a potential threat, amongst other factors such as jealous desire. It can also be the result of a person's own dehumanization of others - sometimes this can be a maladaption used by highly empathic people to protect themselves from ...

Not even just out of humanity, but out of selfishness, one should not rejoice in another's suffering. It is better for everyone to live in a world where everything is settled and everyone feels good. Maybe only psychopaths won't like it.

Schadenfreude—the unsettling pleasure we sometimes feel at others' misfortunes—might seem harmless, but it can quietly erode our emotional well-being. Research indicates that indulging in this feeling can foster resentment, reduce empathy, and strain our relationships . Brene Brown has a great ...

No way. I see people strive and if they fail my default is to want to help albeit with my limited means. Just another indicator of how fucked up the world can be.

I have never head anyone proclaim that......but people who do feel better and happy at anothers failure are usually jealous of them to begin with.
MAHDOOD · 47w
It’s miserable and cowardly people that behave this way imo. They don’t like seeing others succeed and be happy because they couldn’t bet on themselves to have a better life.
