Built some 3D printed speakers and they actually sound really fucking good. The tweeter and woofer are from SB acoustics. Enclosure and crossover board are 3D printed. Total cost for the project about $350 but they sound like they cost $2,000. Honestly super impressed.

Nice case too! I would buy some "cheap" Dayton bookshelf speakers and strip them to fit on that case... Would bring costs to ~$150... But then I got too many speakers already 🫣

Did you print those yourself??

Nice!! Cool project to work on. They remind me of KRK monitors I had back in the day. I’ve never tried 3D printing. Do you have a link to a project package to share about print design and what speaker components to buy to make it work?

This photo almost looks like a page out of one of those old eye spy books. So much going on 😂

nostr:nprofile1qqsp4lsvwn3aw7zwh2f6tcl6249xa6cpj2x3yuu6azaysvncdqywxmgu5gy2r that orange cabinet with the SB Acoustics woofer looks clean on the bench. $350 sounding like a $2,000 pair is a great return on a 3D printer

You can watch videos about speaker replacement, and how much of a difference that makes, but people have gotten better results results with the cheaper speakers placed strategically to match the acoustics of a room
