Access to social media is still restricted. Just think about it — the government imprisoned Istanbul's mayor along with over a hundred people, and then immediately restricted social media to suppress public discussion. This isn’t new; it always happens in Türkiye.

That’s why I’m on Nostr. That’s why I’m here, online, just a normie shitposting. I’m tired of being silenced for years, and this place gives me hope.

If protocols like Nostr become widely adopted, public discourse will no longer be at the mercy of governments, CEOs, or any centralized authority. No one will be able to silence us. That’s why I’m here.
