I bet you're not a couple of young girls though. I live in London, grab a cab occasionally, although try to use Black Cabs, these drivers wouldn't dare tell me to stop talking in a different language
Hence the "I'd have told him.." I'm aware that these young girls would have felt less empowered to do more than listen to the lecture. Also, 'not all taxi drivers', clearly.
