I only use it on our yearly backcountry hunting trip. Then it's good for sending messages back home when we have no phone service. This past year, we brought Meshtastic radios and they work great for comms while hunting as long as we're all on the same side of the mountain. If there's a ridge between us, they're useless, and we fall back to using the Garmins.

I'm a knife guy, so favorite gear is whatever knife I'm running.
