I don’t really know if he holds such beliefs (remember, he’s a Christian) but thankfully even if he does, he can’t force his beliefs on anyone in Bitcoin. In fact this is the moral of the story in this conflict - no small group of people should be able to force the whole network to accept a decision that was made behind closed doors and without community consensus. Let’s also not forget Luke has played crucial roles throughout the history of Bitcoin and saved the project at least on two occasions. He’s also probably the most senior technical person who is still active today. That doesn’t mean he’s without flaws or unable to make mistakes.
