The civil war is due people/politicians turning EVERYTHING into a partisan issue. No more people working together, just working against each other.

I feel like this is the collapse of the United States. A civil war doesn't seem like something a super power will survive. During the last US CW the country was still getting started, now days the internal fighting weakens the country as a whole. On the other side of this fighting lies the end.
